Winters Youth Day is on Saturday, April 25, 2026, with many festivities happening at Rotary Park.
WINTERS – Every spring, the city of Winters comes alive with this celebration of youth that has been bringing the community together for nearly 90 years! What began as the vision of Reverend Charles P. Barkman and high school principal Dr. A.M. Herron, who wanted to teach local youth about the workings of city government, blossomed into a unique tradition: each year, the young people of Winters step into the roles of elected city officials, spending a week shadowing and learning from their real‐world counterparts.
This hands‐on experience culminates in a day of celebration, recognition, and community connection, featuring a parade and a whole lot of fun. Colorful displays, music, and cheering crowds create a vibrant atmosphere. After the parade, the celebration continues with a lively vendor fair. Local artisans, community groups, and small businesses set up booths offering a variety of local goods, treats, and activities for kids and families.
