WALNUT CREEK – Take a trip back in time to Memphis, Tennessee in 1937 and explore the life of influential blues singer Bessie Smith. This musical production will let you experience Smith’s incredible journey to becoming the “Empress of the Blues.” Come along with her as she reminisces about her loves and losses, and hear the songs that cemented her place in history such as “I Ain’t Got Nobody,” “St. Louis Blues” and “T’ain’t Nobody’s Bizness If I Do.”
