Role Players Ensemble presents the hilarious dark comedy “Ripcord” at the Village Theatre in Danville on Fridays – Sundays, October 18 – November 3, 2019.
DANVILLE – Abby Binder has enjoyed a room to herself at the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility for the last four years. Bitter and irritable, she uses her sour personality to keep it that way. When the overly cheerful Marilyn Dunne is assigned to join her, Abby fails to scare her away. Marilyn sees this as a challenge and makes her a bet: if Abby can make Marilyn angry, she’ll move out, but if Marilyn can frighten Abby, she stays. Through a series of emotionally and physically dangerous tricks, the two women reveal secrets, endanger their lives and become unlikely friends in this endearing, heartfelt comedy.
