PLEASANTON – In the world’s current state, keeping the pantry stocked and the refrigerator full has become a challenge for many. In an effort to lend a helping hand and put food on Tri-Valley tables, Open Heart Kitchen, Tri-Valley Haven and Alameda County Community Food Bank are working in partnership with the cities of Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore. Open Heart Kitchen reports that this initiative alone provides food to over 700 families a week. Emergency food bags and boxes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to those in need every Tuesday and Thursday at this drive-thru-only site.
