Pause 4 Paws Rescue Mission

Snowball is a very adorable, loving and playful 4 y/o Tonkinese. Unfortunately his family finds themselves in a situation where they need to rehome him. He is up to date on vaccinations. Photo courtesy of www.p4p-ca.org.

Animals are available for adoption through Pause 4 Paws Rescue Mission. Snowball & Tina are pictured at the right.

VACAVILLE – Paws 4 Paws Rescue Mission, was formed out of one woman’s love for animals. As our area grew, Susan J. Barbarick, Founder and President saw an increased need for additional animal advocates in our area. The goal is to decrease pet overpopulation, reduce euthanasia rates and fight animal cruelty. With those intentions, she created Pause 4 Paws Rescue Mission.

A registered nurse with a full time job, volunteering at the Solano County SPCA, Susan is in the process of finishing her schooling to become a Veterinary Technician. Her dream of having a fully rounded animal rescue complete with with educational, volunteer and youth programs, is coming to fruition.

Tina is a 10 year old Maltese. She was rescued by the SPCA in 2007 from a puppy mill, she was only a year and a half old at the time. Sadly, her adopter suffered a stroke in December. Tina was then taken in by her 87 year old neighbor who is unable to care for her long term. She is very playful and active. She has no teeth, but is able to eat just fine. She is a little timid at first until she gets to know you. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been cleared by the veterinarian. Photo courtesy of www.p4p-ca.org

With several adoptions under the rescue mission’s belt, Pause 4 Paws is looking to increase the amount of rescues and adoptions. A registered 501(c)(3) they are in need of foster parents to take care of the rescued foster babies until they find their families. They are also in need of donations of items they can use for prizes at events along with monetary donations. If you would like to help in any way, please contact Susan at 707-363-5260 or email the rescue mission at info@p4p-ca.org.
