The month of July is all about getting outside and enjoying the Bay Area’s perfect summer weather and lively events. From concerts and parades to festivals and fairs, there are endless ways to celebrate the season with friends and family.

Kiwanis-Danville 4th of July Parade
Friday, July 4 • 9am – 12pm

Join one of the Bay Area’s biggest patriotic celebrations featuring a lively mix of marching bands, colorful floats, classic cars, scout troops, veterans and civic groups. This year’s theme, “Celebrating 50 Years of Community Service,” pays homage to the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley’s five decades of organizing this beloved event. The parade starts at 9am and runs from the corner of Hartz and Railroad avenues, ending at Town and Country Drive.

Pleasant Hill 4th of July Celebration

Firecracker 5K & Kids 100-Yard Dash: 7:45am
Parade: 9:30-10:30am • Park Event: 10:30am-1:30pm

Pleasant Hill’s 4th of July celebration begins with the Firecracker 5K and a kids’ dash, followed by the popular downtown parade. The festivities continue at Pleasant Hill Park with live music, food, games and a watermelon-eating contest. The day wraps up at College Park High School with food trucks and a spectacular fireworks show.

Independence Day Dash 5K and Kids Run

Kick off your Independence Day with a fun and active morning at Sycamore Grove Park, where you can take on a scenic 5K through beautiful paved and dirt trails. After the main run, cheer on the little ones as they dash through a free 400-meter Kids’ Fun Run, open to ages 12 and under. It’s a great way to celebrate the holiday with fitness, fresh air, and community spirit.
