WALNUT CREEK — Boasting wide open spaces, access to a community pool, a wildlife center right next door, and plenty of play structures for little ones, you can’t ask for much more from a park. Parking is free in either of the two lots. There are 13 acres of sprawling grass fields perfect for playing catch, kicking a ball, or flying a kite on a windy day. Larkey Swim Center is located next to the park, which features a recreational pool and is open weekdays through August 5 and weekends through September 5. Lindsay Wildlife Experience, a family museum and wildlife rehabilitation center, is just a few steps away. Picnic areas are abundant and available for rental.
