WALNUT CREEK – We begin our monthly series highlighting the best parks in Walnut Creek and Lafayette with one of the most unique and feature-filled locations in the East Bay. Spanning over 100 acres, Heather Farm Park boasts a massive all-abilities playground and a spectacular fishing pond. Take a stroll along the many walking/bike paths that connect to the Iron Horse Regional Trail, let your dog run free at the off-leash dog park, or enjoy the tranquil gardens and nature areas.

Kids will love the playground featuring numerous slides, swings, climbing walls, monkey bars and more. They’ll enjoy grabbing some of the available cardboard pieces and sliding down one of the three Astroturf-covered hills and letting gravity provide the excitement. Picnic and event spaces are available to rent, providing a fun and versatile location for your next celebration.
