BEACH HUT DELI

VACAVILLE – Established in 1981, Beach Hut Deli has more than 35 locations in California and Nevada. Its unique beach-themed interior features surfboard tables and walls adorned with surf memorabilia inviting customers to hang out and “chill” while listening to music, watching sporting events and socializing with friends.

They offer hot and cold gourmet sandwiches made with high quality fresh ingredients, including favorites like Surfin’ Cow (roast beef, avocado, bacon and cream cheese) or Surfin’ Bird (with turkey), and the Malibu (hot pastrami, Swiss on toasted garlic cheese bread).

Along with your sandwich, enjoy pasta or potato salad, chips and nachos, and a fountain drink, or domestic or craft beer.

Located in Vacaville at 2091 B-2 Harbison Drive, they’re open daily. Call (707) 451-7644 or visit www.beachhutdeli.com.

DIXON – Opened in 2011, family-owned Emigh’s Market is a great place to purchase locally-raised, all natural, grass-fed lamb and beef. They also offer a selection of pork products and gourmet items, such as sauces, marinades, pastas, jams, jellies, cheeses, chocolates and gift items imported from Italy, Spain, and Portugal or found locally in the Dixon and surrounding areas.

They serve breakfast sand-wiches, croissants and burritos and offer daily lunch specials. Check out their Poor Boys, Sliders and of course the Lamburger and Lamb Pizza!

Support your local farmers! Visit Emigh’s Market at 1660 N. Lincoln Avenue, Suite A in Dixon. Open daily, except Sunday. Call (707) 678-8809 or visit www.emighsmarket.com for great recipes and the entire list of meat products. They’ll ship orders directly to you.

VACAVILLE – Catering to the Vacaville community since 1999, the Tormey sisters serve up quality home-style meals made from
the freshest ingredients available. They bake their desserts and bread daily and offer an array of sandwiches, salads, soups and sides to either enjoy onsite or for pick-up or delivery to your home or office.

Offering excellent customer service, this is a great place to stop for a tasty meal while on the go. Among my recommendations are their Tuna or Chicken Stuffed Tomato, or a turkey-avocado sandwich with sprouts and one of their homemade salads, and of course, a brownie for dessert.

Tormey’s is located at 5139 Quinn Road in Vacaville off I-80 near Camping World, and they’re open Monday through Friday, from 7:30am until 2pm. Call them at (707) 469-8676 or visit their website: tormeysdeli.com.
