During this two-day celebration\, over 50 Arsenal Art studios and 11 renowned galleries in Downtown Benicia will open their doors to showcase a diverse array of artistic mediums and styles\, including painting\, ceramics\, jewelry\, printmaking\, photography and more. Attendees can expect to witness live demonstrations by local artists\, captivating exhibitions\, and a chance to engage with the talented individuals who breathe life into the city’s vibrant art scene. \nJoe Garcia\, longtime artist and resident of Benicia\, will be showing his work at Studio #9 at 940 Tyler Street during Benicia Art Weekend. Besides painting\, Joe creates abstract sculpture and has shown at the deYoung Open Exhibit in San Francisco. \nAdding to the atmosphere\, street musicians will be performing live at the State Capitol Lawn\, St. Paul’s Square\, and in front of The Tannery Building throughout the two-day event. \nThe event is free and open to the public\, with plenty of free street parking available in both the Arsenal Historic District and downtown areas. The galleries are within easy walking distance of each other in their respective neighborhoods\, making the Art Weekend accessible to people of all ages and ensuring an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
