Vacaville Jazz Fest will take place Friday – Sunday, September 20 – 22, 2019, at both the Nut Tree & Town Square Plaza in Vacaville.

VACAVILLE – The Vaca Jazz Society (VJS) presents its 20th Annual “Save Our Music” Jazz Festival & Military Tribute, supporting musical events and educational programs in the community.

You’ll want to be there for Vacaville’s original 3-day performing arts festival with over 30 artists including up to 300 musicians at two locations (downtown & Nut Tree), performing blues, gospel, jazz, Dixieland, swing, big band, bebop, Latin, funk, rock and pop music.

Crossroads Jazz Camps
Friday, September 20 • 6 – 9pm • Town Square Plaza
Enjoy the eclectic sounds of “Vaca Jazz at Town Square” as well as Keith Stout’s AMO Combo, concluding with headliner Krohn & Malone with saxophonist Ken Stout.

Crossroads Jazz Performances
Saturday, September 21 • 10am – 1pm • Town Square Plaza
Local middle and high school music teachers will showcase their music at the Nut Tree Village.

Multi-Cultural Music Heritage: “World Jubilee Day”
Saturday, September 21 • 1 – 10pm • Nut Tree
America’s tribute to the eclectic music from all nations with the common denominator of “Rhythm” as the theme. Featured artists include Delbert Bump, Thomas Molina’s Nacho & Dollar Menu, Frank Salamone, Brette Stout with special guest vocalist Tina Benedict and Keith Stout’s Alive Music Orchestra. In addition, Alive Music Orchestra will perform a tribute in memory of vocalists Doris Day & Nancy Wilson as well as trumpet composer Roy Hargrove. Following AMO, 2nd Planet, led by Clarence Williams, will also be performing their original contemporary jazz, rock, R&B and funk-style music.

Gospel Jazz Sunday
Sunday, September 22 • 1pm • Nut Tree
Gospel Jazz Sunday will begin with Keith Stout’s Alive Music Orchestra featuring Frank Salamone and Brette Stout performing at 3pm.

“Freedom’s Gate” Military Tribute
Sunday, September 22nd • 1 – 7pm (military presentation at 5:30pm) • Nut Tree
Jazz music abounds throughout the day with a 5:30pm military presentation. Former Mayor Augustine, Ret. Col. USAF, guest commanders from the 60th Mobility Wing at TAFB and headliner Travis USAF Band of the Golden West “The Commanders” will conclude the event with a tribute to active and retired military.
