Get your summer fun on track at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley’s “Totally Trains” exhibit, on display June 15 – August 18, 2019, in Danville.

DANVILLE – This crowd-pleasing exhibit is back by popular demand! Watch model trains run through two separate layouts, one of which has four trains running on two levels of scenery with bridges, a trestle, tunnel and village with a replica of the Museum. You’ll spot many “scratch-built” structures that represent real buildings in Alamo, Danville, San Ramon and Dublin. The second layout features several working accessories such as a functioning log loader. Interactive portions of the display include the chance to load coal into a steam locomotive.

The Museum is also commemorating two milestone anniversaries. Check out the NASA train cars celebrating 50 years since the Apollo 11 moon landing. Additionally, there are special displays recognizing 150 years of the Transcontinental Railroad and the workers who sacrificed to make it a reality.
