Wed. Jul 10, 2019 - Sun. Aug 25, 2019Free
LIVERMORE – Have you ever wondered if the Moon is made of cheese? You can find the answer to that question and many more at this exhibit honoring the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. See large-scale images illustrating the importance and significance of the Moon landing, along with interactive activities that give an enriching experience that doesn’t come from reading alone.
On July 9 and August 6, the Tri-Valley Stargazers Astronomy Club will be outside the theater “moon gazing” through telescopes. The Commemoration Reception on July 20 includes an LED-animated scale model of the Apollo 11 flight and a flight simulation of the Landing Module. Finally, on August 25, stop by the closing reception to say bon voyage to this wonderful display. Fly up to the Moon and play among the stars at the Bankhead Gallery.
